Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2010
Elegant and complex flavour profile
Made from a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc grapes grown on the estate's vineyards located on the Tyrrhenian coast.
The grapes were hand-harvested and underwent a rigorous selection process before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 24 months in oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months of bottle aging before being released to the market.
It has a deep ruby color with garnet reflections, and an intense and complex aroma of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry, along with notes of tobacco, leather, and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with firm and ripe tannins, a good acidity, and a long and persistent finish.
Recommended to decant the wine for at least an hour before serving to allow it to fully develop its aromas and flavours.
