A single malt Scotch whisky produced by the BenRiach Distillery, located in the Speyside region of Scotland. The whisky is made from a combination of malted barley and water, which is then fermented and distilled in copper pot stills. After distillation, the whisky is aged for 12 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, which impart a rich and complex flavour profile to the whisky.
It has a golden amber color and a fruity aroma, with notes of green apple, pear, and honey, along with a hint of vanilla and oak. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and well-balanced, with flavors of honey, vanilla, and citrus, complemented by a subtle smokiness and a touch of spice. The finish is long and warming, with a lingering taste of honey and oak.
An excellent choice for sipping neat or on the rocks, and pairs well with smoked meats and cheeses.
