Château Palmer 2008, Margaux, Bordeaux
Made from a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot, all grown on the estate's vineyards located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary.
The grapes are hand-harvested and underwent a rigorous selection process before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 45% of which were new.
Château Palmer 2008 has a deep ruby color with purple reflections, and an elegant and complex aroma of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry, along with notes of tobacco, leather, and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with firm and ripe tannins, a good acidity, and a long and persistent finish.
It is recommended to decant the wine for at least an hour before serving to allow it to fully develop its aromas and flavours.
