Vincent Girardin Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Epenots' 2017
Structured and dark fruits flavour profile
Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown in the premier cru vineyard of Les Epenots, located in the commune of Pommard. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 16 months, which gives it a rich and complex flavour profile.
On the nose, Vincent Girardin Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Epenots' 2018 offers aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and red currant, along with subtle hints of spice and oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavors of dark fruit, earth, and a touch of minerality. The tannins are firm yet refined, providing a long and satisfying finish.
Pairs well with a range of hearty dishes, including grilled or roasted meats, stews, and strong cheeses. Try it with our cheese platter or signature ribeye peppercrusted.
It is best served slightly below room temperature, around 16-18°C (60-65°F), to allow the complex flavours to fully develop.
