Black fruits and earthy flavour profile
Made from a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah grapes, which are grown on vines that are around 60 years old. The Colombis vineyard, from which this wine comes from, is located on a hillside with a clay-limestone soil that gives the wine its distinctive character. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12-15 months, which adds a subtle note of vanilla and a toasted flavour.
The wine has a deep, rich color with purple and ruby hues. On the nose, it has a complex aroma of blackberry, black cherry, plum, and hints of spices and herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich with flavors of black fruit, licorice, and earthy notes. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, providing a smooth and long-lasting finish.
A well-balanced and complex wine that can be enjoyed now or aged for several years. Pairs well with red meat, game meat and strong cheese.
