Vincent Girardin Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2018
Black fruits and earthy flavour profile
Made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Gevrey Chambertin appellation in Burgundy, France. The wine is aged for 16-18 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby color with aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, as well as notes of spice and earth. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, and oak, with a long, smooth finish. The tannins are firm yet well-integrated, providing structure to the wine without overpowering it. This wine is a classic expression of the Gevrey Chambertin appellation, showcasing the terroir and the characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape.
