Château Le Puy Emilien 2019, Cotes de Bordeaux ( Magnum )
Dark fruits and full-bodied flavour profile
Made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Carménère grapes, which are grown on the estate's vineyards located on the right bank of the Dordogne river.
Château Le Puy Emilien 2018 has a deep ruby color and an aroma of dark fruits, including blackberry, blackcurrant, and raspberry, along with notes of spices, leather, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of dark fruits, chocolate, and coffee, along with a hint of mineral and a well-balanced acidity. The tannins are firm and well-structured, giving the wine a good aging potential. It has a complex and elegant character, with a good balance between fruitiness and tannins.
Best enjoyed with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or strong cheeses.
It can also be aged for several years to develop more complexity and nuances.
