Tannic and black fruits flavour profile

Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou Cuvée 'Petit Ducru' 2019 is a red wine from the Saint-Julien appellation in the Bordeaux region of France. It is the second wine of the famous Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou, a highly regarded winery in the region.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, which are grown on the estate's vineyards located on the Gironde estuary. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months before being bottled.

It has a deep ruby color and an aroma of black fruits, including blackcurrant and blackberry, along with notes of spices, vanilla, and cedar. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of dark fruits, chocolate, and tobacco, along with a hint of mineral and a well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and smooth, with a good tannic structure.

This wine is considered to be a good representation of the Saint-Julien appellation, and it is highly regarded by wine enthusiasts. It is a more approachable and affordable alternative to the Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou's first wine, but still maintains a high level of quality and complexity.

Best enjoyed with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or strong cheeses.
