Smooth and tannic flavour profile

A red wine from the Saint-Estephe appellation in the Bordeaux region of France. It is the second wine of the famous Chateau Cos d'Estournel, one of the top wineries in the region.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes, which are grown on the estate's vineyards located on the hillside slopes of Saint-Estephe. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months before being bottled.

It has a deep ruby color and an aroma of black fruits, including blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherry, along with notes of spices, herbs, and cedar. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of dark fruits, chocolate, and tobacco, along with a hint of minerality and a well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and smooth, with a good tannic structure.
It is a more approachable and affordable alternative to the Chateau Cos d'Estournel's first wine, but still maintains a high level of quality and complexity.

Best enjoyed with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or strong cheeses.
